CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO. 4957
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING CHAPTER 6-18, PENAL CODE, OF TITLE VI (POLICE) OF
ORDINANCE NO. 4260 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON" BY
ADDING A NEW SECTION, 6-18-19, REGARDING SEVERABILITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Chapter 6-18, Penal Code, of Title VI (Police) of Ordinance No.
4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby
amended by adding a new section, 6-18-19, regarding severability, to read as follows:
6-18-19 SEVERABILITY: If any sentence, clause, or portion of this Chapter shall be
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence,
clause, or phrase of this Chapter.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and
30 days after publication.
