ORDINANCE NO. 4965
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 2002 BUDGET FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF
BUILDING A VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK AND APPROPRIATING
THE NECESSARY FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The 2002 Capital Facilities Fund (Fund 316) Budget is hereby
amended in the amount of $389,000 for the construction of a Veteran's Memorial Park. The
2002 Budget included an appropriation for $25,000. This amendment brings the project cost to
a total of $414,000.
SECTION II. In order to meet this new expenditure, excess fund balance from
the 2002 LID Fund (Fund 220) will be appropriated in the amount of $323,000. This amount
will be transferred to the Capital Facilities Fund (Fund 316).
SECTION III. In addition to the operating transfer from Fund 220, the City shall
receive a total of at least $66,000 from the Veteran's Post #1263 as a contribution towards the
construction of the Park.
SECTION IV. The following funds are hereby amended as follows to pay for the
construction of the Veteran's Park.

SECTION V. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and
five days after publication.
