ORDINANCE NO. 4904
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM THE P-l
(PUBLIC USE) ZONE TO RESIDENTIAL - 8 DU/AC (R-8) ZONE, WITH
A P-SUFFIX DESIGNATION. (ROLLING HILLS RESERVOIR, LUA-01-
008, R, ECF)
WHEREAS, under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2, Land Use Districts, of Title IV
(Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton, Washington," as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction
therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as P-l (Public Use);
and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton initiated a proceeding for change of zone classification
of said property on or about January 23, 2001. This matter was duly referred to the Hearing
Examiner for investigation, study, and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held
thereon on or about March 13, 2001, and said matter having been duly considered by the Hearing
Examiner, and said zoning request having been recommended for approval without conditions by
the Hearing Examiner or by the Enviromnental Review Committee, and no requests for
reconsideration or appeals having been received during the appeal period that ended April 23,
2001; and
WHEREAS, said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive
Plan, as amended by Ordinance No. 4855, and the City Council having duly considered all
matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in
opposition thereto;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
rezoned to Residential - 8 du/ac (R-8) Zone, with a P-suffix designation, as hereinbelow
specified. The Economic Development, Neighborhoods, and Strategic Planning Administrator is
hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to
evidence said rezoning, to wit:
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein.
(One parcel consisting of 12.97 acres, address 2401 Puget Drive SE, near the intersection
of Puget Drive SE and Edmonds Way SE.)
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and
five days after publication.
SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 21st day of May , 2001.

EXHIBIT A Legal Description
Rezone Rolling Hills Reservoir Site
That portion of the Southeast quarter of Section 20, Township 23 North, Range 5 East,
W.M. in the City of Renton, King County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said subdivision;
Thence South 01° 50' 38" West along the east line of said subdivision, a distance of
646.65 feet, to the True Point of Beginning;
Thence North 88° 09' 22" West, a distance of 30.00 feet;
Thence South 46° 51' 03" West along the northwesterly margin of the First Christian
Church property as recorded under King County Recording No. 5615593, a distance of
767.02 feet;
Thence North 43° 09' 22" West, a distance of 561.35 feet, to the southeasterly right-of-
way margin of Puget Drive SE;
Thence North 40° 00' 05" East along said southeasterly right-of-way margin, a distance
of 522.57 feet, to the beginning of a curve to the right having a radius of 416.87 feet;
Thence northeasterly, easterly and southeasterly along said curve, an arc distance of
690.27 feet;
Thence South 45° 07' 35 East, a distance of 46.67 feet, to a point on the east line of said
subdivision;
Thence South 01° 50' 38 West along said east line, a distance of 280.88 feet, to the True
Point of Beginning.
