CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO. 4908
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 4-1-140.M.3 OF CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION
AND ENFORCEMENT, AND ADDING SECTION 4-4-100 J 51 OF
CHAPTER 4, PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, OF TITLE IV
(DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO 4260
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, WASHINGTON" BY ADOPTING FEES AND A PERMIT
SCHEDULE FOR A-FRAME SIGNS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON. WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 4-1-140.M.3 of Chapter 1, Administration and
Enforcement, of Title IV (Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3. TEMPORARY AND PORTABLE SIGNS:
Real Estate Directional Signs on Public
Right-of-Way pursuant to RMC 4-4-100.J.2
$15.00 per sign for a 6 month period with a
renewal fee of $10.00 for a 3 month period
with only one renewal allowed
Grand Opening Event Signs, pursuant to
RMC 4-4-100.J.6.d(l)
$25.00 per site, per opening
Event Signs pursuant to
RMC 4-4-100.J.6.d(2) and d(3)
$15.00 per type of sign identified in
RMC 4-4-100.J.6.b, per promotion
A-Frame Signs pursuant to
RMC 4-4-100.J.5
$100.00 for the first sign and $50 for each
additional sign, for a 12 month period
SECTION II. Section 4-4-100. J.5 of Chapter 4, Property Development
Standards, of Title IV (Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding a new
subsection, 4-4-100..T.5.1, to read as follows:
1. Permit Required: The period of validity for an A-Frame sign permit is 12
months.

SECTION III. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and
30 days after publication.
