RESOLUTION NO.3715
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
DECLARING AS SURPLUS THE OLD FIRE STATION 12,LOCATED AT
901 HARRINGTON AVENUE NE,AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN SUCH DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO
TRANSFER TITLE.
WHEREAS,the City of Renton,after a news release and publication ofa notice for a
public hearing,held a public hearing on November 17,2003,to consider the issue of declaring
certain real property surplus,such property being legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto
and incorporated by reference as iffully set forth,and being commonly known as Old Fire Station
12,located at 901 Harrington Ave NE;and
WHEREAS,those members ofthe public who wished to testifY were dilly allowed to
testifY,and their testimony was considered by the City Council;and
WHEREAS,the law requires an appraisal;and
WHEREAS,the City Administration has ordered an appraisal of the value ofthis real
property;and
WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that the sale ofthis property is in the public
interest;
NOW,THERFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DO RESOLVB AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.

SECTION ill.
The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The property in question is declared surplus.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the
necessary documents to consummate the conveyance ofthe real estate that has been surplused,

contingent upon the property being sold for a price that is at least $427,500,but on the most
advantageous terms,including price,that the City can obtain.
