HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3625CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3625 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR THE CITY OF RENTON TO RECEIVE $80,000 FOR THE SIGNAL SYNCHRONIZATION GRANT. WHEREAS, the King County Council has established a System-Wide Signal Improvement Program for King County; and WHEREAS, a new Signal Synchronization Project has been created that enables King County to make financial grants to other public agencies; and WHEREAS, the City has undertaken a project for signal synchronization on NE 3rd/4th Street between Maple Valley/Park Place to NE 4th St./Nile Avenue, which includes a new signal at NE 4th St./Hoquiam NE; and WHEREAS, the County has agreed to contribute $80,000 for the signal synchronization project; and WHEREAS, the City will therefore be reimbursed $10,400 for work done by the City on this project, and the remaining $69,600 in grant funds will be collected by the County for work performed by the County's contractor and work force; and WHEREAS, it is necessary by agreement to establish the terms and conditions of the County grants; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects. RESOLUTION NO. 3625 SECTION H. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement between King County and the City ofRenton for the Signal Synchronization Project.
