RESOLUTION NO.3673
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
ENTITLED "COMMUTE TRIP REDUCTION ACT IMPLEMENTATION
AGREEMENT."
WHEREAS,the City of Renton,pursuant to the Commute Trip Reduction Act,IS
required to develop and implement commute trip reduction plans;and
WHEREAS,the Legislature has appropriated funds to provide technical assistance
funding to the City;and
WHEREAS,the Washington State Department of Transportation,by law,distributes
these funds to the counties,which in tum distributes the funds to the cities;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to docwnent the tenus and conditions under which the county
will distribute commute trip reduction funds to the City;and
WHEREAS,the City of Renton has previously entered into similar contracts for
commute trip reduction funds;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.

The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal cooperative agreement with King County entitled "Commute Trip Reduction Act
Implementation Agreement"and later similar contracts that have the same general purpose.tenns
and funding.
