RESOLUTION NO.3676
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY TRADE AND
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR MANAGING A $45,000 GRANT TO
COMPLETE THE AIRPORT COMPATffiLE LAND USE PROGRAM
AND THE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF
THE URBAN CENTER -NORTH MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS.
WHEREAS,the City of Renton has initiated an Airport Compatibility Use Program,and
is in the process of drafting development standards for implementation of the Urban Center -
North mixed use development Comprehensive Plan amendment;and
WHEREAS,the Washington State Department of Community,Trade and Economic
Development (hereinafter CTED)has a responsibility,under state law,to provide financial and
teclmical assistance to the communities of the state to assist in improving the delivery of federal,
state and local programs;and to provide communities with opportunities for productive and
coordinated development beneficial to the well-being of communities and their residents;and
WHEREAS,CTED has a statutory authority to offer technical and financial assistance to
the City of Renton for its planning under the Growth Management Act;and
WHEREAS,CTED has selected the City of Renton to receive $45,000 to nndertake the
completion of the Airport Compatible Land Use Program and the development standards for
implementation of the Urban Center -North mixed use development Comprehensive Plan
amendment;and

WHEREAS,it is necessary to establish the terms and conditions under which such grant
shall be provided to the City of Renton,and how the City shall manage those funds;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASIDNGTON,DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Washington State Department of Conununity,Trade
and Economic Development for managing a grant of $45,000 to complete the Airport Compatible
Land Use Program and the development standards for implementation of the Urban Center -
North mixed use development Comprehensive Plan amendment.
