RESOLUTION NO.3678
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
REGARDING THE DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS UNDER THE
REGIONAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS,the state legislature authorized a surcharge on the recording of documents
as a means of funding regional housing;and
WHEREAS,King County is the recipient ofa portion of those funds,which has been set
aside in a special fund to be used by the County and its cities to support very low-income housing;
and
WHEREAS,such funds must be allocated among the jurisdictions by an interlocal
cooperative agreement between the counties and cities that is consistent with regional housing
policies and objectives;and
WHEREAS,a set of guidelines has been established through a regional effort,for the
administration of this low-income housing program;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to document the tenns and conditions under which these
funds will be distributed pursuant to those guidelines;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DO RESOL VB AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.The above findings are true and correct in all respects.

The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal cooperative agreement with King County regarding the disbursal and handling of funds
under the Regional Affordable Housing Program.
