RESOLUTION NO. 3594
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO
THE KING COUNTY JAIL SERVICES AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, King County and the City of Renton are each authorized by the City and
County Jails Act, Chapter 70.48 RCW, to operate a jail; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, from time to time, finds it necessary to use the services
of the KJng County Jail; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to compensate King County for the use of its jail facilities;
and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to estabUsh exact costs necessary for use of the jail facilities
on a per diem basis and on a per booking basis; and
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been reached by the parties and it is necessary for the City
Council to authorize the City of Renton to enter into such an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute the King
County Jail Services Interlocal Agreement.
