RESOLUTION NO. 36 00
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TUKWILA
AND THE CITY OF RENTON REGARDING THE IMPROVEMENTS TO
SOUTH 180th STREET.
WHEREAS, the cities of Tukwila and Renton aligned their boundaries by an agreement
under CAG 046-86; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to that agreement, the cities of Tukwila and Renton agreed to
participate in the improvements of SW 43rd/ S. 180th and Strander Blvd. / SW 27th; and
WHEREAS, the improvements to S. 180th / SW 43rd are going to be performed before
the improvements to Strander Blvd. / SW 27th; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the S. 180th / SW 43rd project to enter into an agreement
for the purposes of indicating who should perform design work, acquire necessary property and
construct the improvements; and
WHEREAS, a similar agreement will be necessary for the Strander Blvd. / SW 27th
project, which will be presented later to the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement between the City of Tukwila and the City of Renton regarding the
improvements to S. 180th Street.
