RESOLUTION NO. 3509
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
GRANT FUNDING FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT SW 7th STREET
AND LIND AVENUE SW.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that it is appropriate to install a traffic
signal at the intersection of SW 7th Street and Lind Avenue SW; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation has monies available
for such a signal through its Hazard Elimination Safety grant program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has been awarded $270,000 through that grant program
for this signal; and
WH EREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the City of
Renton will receive such a grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with the Washington State Department of Transportation for the award for $270,000
through the Hazard Elimination Safety grant program for the installation, with associated

planning, engineering and other necessary activities, of the signal at SW 7th Street and Lind
Avenue SW.
