RESOLUTION NO. 3528
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE
AMENDED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN KING COUNTY
AND THE CITY OF RENTON, FOR THE WASTE REDUCTION AND
RECYCLING GRANT PROGRAM (WRR) AND CITY OPTIONAL
PROGRAM (COP).
WHEREAS, there was an Interlocal Agreement between King County and the City of
Renton on January 30, 2001, to define the terms and conditions for funding to be provided to the
City of Renton from King County for waste reduction and recycling programs and/or services;
and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to change the terms and conditions of the
Agreement and expand the scope of services, since the County's Solid Waste Division is
incorporating its City Optional Program into the Agreement and distributing additional grant
funding to the City; and
WHEREAS, King County has authorized the amended Agreement per Motions Nos.
8857 and 10965;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute
the amended Interlocal Agreement between King County and the City of Renton, for the Waste
Reduction and Recycling Grant Program (WRR) and City Optional Program (COP).
