HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3542CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3542 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT BETWEEN KING COUNTY AND THE CITY OF RENTON REGARDING GUARDRAIL IMPROVEMENTS TO MONSTER ROAD SW / 68™ AVENUE SOUTH. WHEREAS, both King County and the City of Renton have identified the need for guardrail improvements on Monster Road SW and 68th Avenue South between Beacon Coal Mine Road and Martin Luther King Junior Way South; and WHEREAS, the project is located in both King County and the City of Renton; and WHEREAS, the project is 90% grant funded, with the remaining 10% to be jointly funded by the City of Renton and King County based upon the lineal footage of the guardrail within each respective jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which this project will be managed, and to provide a lead agency to manage the project; and WHEREAS, this interagency agreement provides those terms and conditions, and names the City of Renton as the lead agency on the project; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement entitled "Interagency Agreement Between King County and City of Renton Regarding Guardrail Improvements to Monster Road SW / 68th Avenue South." 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3542 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 19th day of November 2001.
