RESOLUTION NO. 3440
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
UNDER WHICH KING COUNTY WOULD PROVIDE FUNDING FOR
SPECIAL RECYCLING EVENTS AND THE OPERATION OF A
BUSINESS RECYCLING PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton plans to conduct special recycling events and plans to
operate a business recycling program; and
WHEREAS, the King County Solid Waste Division has established a City Optional
Program which provides funds for such efforts; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which King
County will provide funding to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
Interlocal Agreement Between King County and the City of Renton for funding under the City
Optional Program for special recycling events and the operation of a business recycling program.
