HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3445CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3445 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR GRANT FUNDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TIP #7 DOWNTOWN TRANSIT ACCESS, TIP #28 ARTERIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM, TIP #4 I-405/NE 44th STREET INTERCHANGE AND TIP #10 SR-167/SW 27™ STREET/STRANDER BOULEVARD PROJECTS. WHEREAS, the City of Renton has detenriined that it wishes to construct the TIP #7 Downtown Transit Access, TIP #28 Arterial Rehabilitation Program, TIP #4 I-405/NE 44th Street Interchange and TIP #10 SR-167/SW 27th Street/Strander Boulevard Projects; and WHEREAS, funds are available through the Washington State Department of Transportation to provide financial assistance to the City of Renton for these Projects; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the Washington State Department of Transportation will provide funds to the City of Renton; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into interlocal cooperative agreements with the Washington State Department of Transportation for the use of grant funds for the construction of the Downtown Transit Access, Arterial Rehabilitation Program, I-405/NE 44th Street Interchange and SR-167/SW 27th Street/Strander Boulevard Projects. The Mayor and City Clerk are further authorized to enter into other such agreements necessary to obtain grant funds from the 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3445 Washington State Department of Transportation to construct further phases of these Projects up to and including construction of the roadway.
