RESOLUTION NO. 344 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES OF
AUBURN, FEDERAL WAY, KENT AND TUKWILA REGARDING THE
FORMATION OF THE VALLEY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has been a long-time member of Valley Communications
Center; and
WHEREAS, the City of Federal Way has recently been added as a full member of Valley
Communications Center; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct and equip a new facility for the operations of
Valley Communications Center; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which
consolidated 911 services will be provided through Valley Communications Center,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal cooperative agreement with the Cities of Auburn, Federal Way, Kent and Tukwila to
provide for consolidated 911 services through Valley Communications Center.
