HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3453CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3453 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR WATERFOWL (CANADA GOOSE) MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE YEAR 2000. WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Renton has a large surplus of Canadian Geese within its jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Department of Wildlife, State of Washington, have agreed to continue efforts to transfer Canadian Geese to appropriate locations and to continue an egg addling program; and WHEREAS, the costs for this procedure would be shared with a number of jurisdictions including the City of Renton; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the agreement between the parties; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an Interlocal Agreement for Waterfowl (Canada Goose) Management Program for the year 2000 and thereafter as long as the costs remain relatively constant for roughly equivalent efforts.
