RESOLUTION NO. 3463
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
ENTER INTO AN URBAN ARTERIAL TRUST ACCOUNT PROJECT
AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION PROPOSAL FOR OAKESDALE
AVENUE SW PHASE 2, SW 27™ STREET TO SW 31st.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has a missing link in Oakesdale Avenue SW, between
SW 27th Street and SW 3181 Street; and
WHEREAS, this roadway is planned to be a major North/South arterial and the
construction of this missing link will allow the roadway to function as originally planned and
where it will service a substantial area, the Green River Valley, and further economic growth,
including the Boeing Longacres site; and
WHEREAS, the State of Washington through the Urban Arterial Trust Account is
proposing to grant the City substantial funds to assist in the construction of this roadway section;
and
WHEREAS, is necessary to document the terms and conditions of that grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings is true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an Interlocal
Cooperative Agreement entitled Urban Arterial Trust Account project agreement for construction
proposal for Oakesdale Avenue SW, Phase 2, SW 27th Street to SW 31st Street.
