RESOLUTION NO. 3 4 7 4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MERCER ISLAND
FOR MARINE PATROL SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton borders on Lake Washington and therefore has certain
emergency and police responsibilities in the lake; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mercer Island maintains a marine patrol unit; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton wishes to avail itself of the marine patrol services of
Mercer Island; and
WHEREAS, Mercer Island is agreeable to providing such marine patrol services; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the City of
Mercer Island will provide marine patrol services to the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the prior contract has expired and the City desires to enter into a new
contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION H. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
Interlocal Agreement with the City of Mercer Island for Marine Patrol Services.
