HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3477CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3477 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY PARTIAL CLOSURE OF OAKESDALE AVENUE SOUTHWEST FOR INSTALLATION OF 108- INCH DIAMETER PIPE FOR THE KING COUNTY SOUTH INTERCEPTOR PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City has determined that the temporary partial closure of Oakesdale Avenue Southwest would be advantageous for the installation of 108-inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe for the King County South Interceptor, because it is the safest location and would have the least impact on traffic on Southwest 43rd Street; and WHEREAS, the connection to the existing large diameter sanitary sewer at depths exceeding 20 feet will necessitate the temporary closure of Oakesdale Avenue Southwest for two hundred (200') feet north of the Southwest 43rd Street right of way, for about 31 days, to end by approximately December 24, 2000; and WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code section 9-9-3 the City Council is to authorize such closure by means of a Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the closure of Oakesdale Avenue Southwest for 200 feet north of the Southwest 43rd Street right of way for a period of approximately 31 days, to commence on approximately November 24, 2000. 1 RESOLUTION NO. .^477 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this20thday of November , 2000.
