RESOLUTION NO. 3482
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
CONCERNING SOLID WASTE GRANT FUNDING.
WHEREAS, King County and the City of Renton adopted the King County
Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan, which includes recycling and waste reduction
goals; and
WHEREAS, in order to help meet these goals, the King County Solid Waste Division has
established a waste reduction and recycling grant program for the suburban cities; and
WHEREAS, King County has offered to make available to the City of Renton, under the
grant program, the sum of $27,201.00; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the grant
will be offered to the City and administered by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement between King County and the City of Renton, identified as Contract No.
D29104D.
