RESOLUTION NO.3419
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE ISSAQUAH
SCHOOL DISTRICT CONCERNING THE SCHOOL MITIGATION
FEES.
WHEREAS,the City of Renton has annexed territory that is located within the Issaquah
School District;and
WHEREAS,the Issaquah School District has complied with state law necessary to
establish its right to request that the City adopt a school mitigation fee;and
WHEREAS,the City Council determined that it would pass such a school mitigation fee
and did adopt Ordinance No.4808 ;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to enter into an agreement with the Issaquah School District
to establish the rights and procedures under which the school mitigation fee will be collected and
remitted to the Issaquah School District and to cover the rights and relationships between the City
of Renton and the Issaquah School District;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASlllNGTON,DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II.The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal
cooperative agreement between the City of Renton and the Issaquah School District relating to
the procedures,rights and responsibilities between the parties concerning the school mitigation
fee.
