RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 7 4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGARDING THE RENTON
CITY HALL FLEXPASS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the 1998 Legislature provided funds for the high capacity transit account,
including funds allocated to the Employer Services Grants Program; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation established criteria to
provide funding to employers to support and enhance commute trip reduction programs; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation, based on project
needs, has selected the City of Renton's FlexPass Program as one that best meets the purpose and
criteria of the Employer Services Grants Program; and
WHEREAS, the sum of$7,500.00 will be provided to the City of Renton for its FlexPass
Program under this agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which said funds
will be provided to the City of Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION H. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal
cooperative agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation for the Renton
City Hall FlexPass Program.
