RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 8 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON
DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY AND THE CITY OF RENTON ENTITLED
"COORDINATED PREVENTION GRANT AGREEMENT."
WHEREAS, the City of Renton desires to undertake two programs generally known as Yard
Waste Reduction and Green Garden Model; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Ecology wishes to financially support
these programs; and
WHEREAS, of the estimated cost of$103,255.00, the State of Washington Department of
Ecology will grant to the City sixty percent (60%) of that sum or $61,953.00, leaving the City of
Renton's share of$41,302.00; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which these grant
funds will be received by the City of Renton and expended by the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, those terms and conditions are documented in the Coordinated Prevention
Grant Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION H. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
known as Grant No. G9800256, Coordinated Prevention Grant Agreement with City of Renton, such
agreement being between the State of Washington Department of Ecology and the City of Renton.
