RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 8 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT ENTITLED "PUBLIC WORKS EMERGENCY RESPONSE
MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT."
WHEREAS, it is prudent to enter into pre-disaster agreements between government
agencies to provide for immediate assistance to protect life and property; and
WHEREAS, various agencies of state government are authorized to enter into interlocal
cooperative agreements to provide, amongst other things, emergency assistance upon the happening
of a proclaimed emergency; and
WHEREAS, it would be advantageous to the City to provide qualified personnel,
appropriate equipment and necessary materials to other agencies when available, and receive in
return the use of qualified personnel, appropriate equipment, and necessary materials when the City
of Renton suffers an emergency; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which emergency
response will be provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Fire Chief is hereby authorized to enter into an Interlocal Agreement
entitled "Public Works Emergency Response Mutual Aid Agreement."
