RESOLUTION NO. 3400
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY RELATING TO
THE 1999 UPDATE OF THE SKYWAY COORDINATED WATER
SYSTEM PLAN.
WHEREAS, the 1988 Skyway Coordinated Water System Plan (CWSP) needs to be
updated as required by the Public Water System Coordination Act of 1977; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, King County, the Department of Health and all the
members of the Skyway Water Utility Coordinating Committee (WUCC) have jointly
participated in the development of the 1999 update of the Skyway Coordinated Water System
Plan; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for all parties herein to enter into an agreement to
provide for the efficient planning and development of water service within the Skyway Critical
Water Supply Service Area;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement with King County establishing the water service area boundaries as
identified in the 1999 Update of the Skyway Coordinated Water System Plan.
