RESOLUTION NO. 3 4 0 6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
ENTER INTO INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH
THE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT BOARD FOR GRANT FUNDS
FOR THE DOWNTOWN TRANSIT CENTER ACCESS ON BURNETT
AVENUE FROM SOUTH 2ND STREET TO SOUTH 4TH STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that it is necessary to perform certain work
for street improvements on Burnett Avenue from South 2nd Street to South 4th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Improvement Board has agreed to provide a grant to the
City of Renton for this work in the amount of$272,400.00, with $36,000.00 designated for design
purposes and $236,400.00 for construction; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions of that grant; and
WHEREAS, receipt of the grant would be advantageous to the citizens of the City of
Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into Interlocal
Cooperative Agreements with the Transportation Improvement Board for grant funding for design
and construction of the Downtown Transit Center Access on Burnett Avenue from South 21I
d Street
to South 4`h Street.
