HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3409 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3409 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THE POLICE ANNEX BUILDING SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN SUCH DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO TRANSFER TITLE. WHEREAS, the City of Renton after a news release and publication of a public notice for public hearing, did hold on the 13th day of September, 1999, a public hearing to consider the issue of declaring certain real property surplus, such property being legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth, such property being commonly known as the police annex building, the street address of 1010 South 2nd Street; and WHEREAS, those members of the public who wish to testify were duly allowed to testify and the testimony was considered by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the law requires an appraisal; and WHEREAS, the City administration has ordered an appraisal of the value of this real property; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the sale of this property is in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The property in question is hereby declared surplus. SECTION III. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the necessary documents to consummate the conveyance of the real estate that has been surplussed, contingent 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3409 upon that property being sold for a price that is at least within ten percent below the appraised price, but on the most advantageous terms including price that the City can obtain.
