RESOLUTION NO. 2778
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR SR 515 REPAVING.
WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)
intends to repave SR 515 between S. Puget Drive and S . 4th Street;
and
WHEREAS, WSDOT is responsible for pavement management and the
City of Renton is responsible for channelization and signing; and
WHEREAS, the cost of WSDOT' s share of the project is
approximately $525, 000 . 00 and the City of Renton' s share is
approximately $37, 000 . 00; and
WHEREAS, the project will help maintain the structural
integrity of the roadway and improved drivability through the City
of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement will be in the
best interests of the citizens of Renton.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . The above recitals are hereby found to be true
and correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter
into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement and sign a contract with
WSDOT concerning the repaving of SR 515 .
