RESOLUTION NO. 2789
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY TO
PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF OPEN SPACE
PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton anticipates receiving funds from
the "King County, Unlimited Tax General Obligation Bonds (Open
Space) , 1990" for the purpose of acquiring certain open space
projects; and
WHEREAS, individual projects are for the preservation of
public green spaces, green belts, open space, parks and trails
and will enhance the quality of life for the residents of the
City of Renton making it a more desirable place in which to live
and to visit; and
WHEREAS, prior to the distribution of bond proceeds by King
County it is necessary for the City of Renton to execute an
Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with King County; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement will be in the
best interests of the citizens of Renton.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with King County to provide
funds for the acquisition of open space projects.
