RESOLUTION NO. 2820
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO
RECEIVE FUNDS FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING OF A SOUTHBOUND
RAMP FROM SR-167 TO S.W. 43RD.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that it would be in
its best interest to construct a ramp exiting SR-167 (the Valley
Freeway) in the southbound direction at S.W. 43rd; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation is
willing to give the City of Renton the sum of $66, 672 . 00 of Federal
Aid Urban System (FADS) monies to perform preliminary engineering
on that exit ramp; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to authorize the
Mayor and City Clerk to enter into the agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington, are hereby authorized and directed to sign an agreement
with the Washington State Department of Transportation to conduct
preliminary engineering of a southbound ramp exiting SR-167 at S.W.
43rd.
