RESOLUTION NO. 3298
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR ISTEA GRANT
AGREEMENT FOR EAST VALLEY ROAD REHABILITATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that it is
necessary to do rehabilitation work to the paving on East
Valley Road between S .W. 41st Street and Lind Avenue, S .W. ; and
WHEREAS, there are state and federal funds available to
assist the City in performing this .work; and
WHEREAS, out of the total project cost of $203, 373 . 00
there is available state and federal funds in the amount of
$175, 918 . 00, leaving a City share of $27, 455. 00; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and advisable to document the
terms and conditions under which these grant funds will be made
available to the City of Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to enter into a Local Agency Agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation for the East
Valley Road Rehabilitation Project.
