RESOLUTION NO. 3315
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
" AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL 'AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF KENT TO CONDUCT
: FISHERIES RESTORATION PROJECTS IN THE EAST SIDE GREEN
RIVER WATERSHED.
WHEREAS, portions of Renton and Kent lie within the East Side
Green River-Watershed; and
WHEREAS, populations of salmon and other fish species within
the East Side Green River Watershed are low compared to other Puget
Sound .streams; and
WHEREAS,. Kent -and Renton wish to work cooperatively to identify
the factors that . are limiting fishery populations and develop and
implement a plan of action to restore a healthy, self-reproducing
fishery, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 39 .34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act,
the participants are each authorized to enter into an agreement for
cooperative actions;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Kent to allow
Kent and Renton to work cooperatively to identify the factors that
are limiting fishery populations in the East Side Green River

Watershed and develop and implement a plan of action to restore a
healthy, self-reproducing fishery.
