RESOLUTION NO. 3317
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR
ASPHALT OVERLAY, SEAL COAT AND SHOULDER IMPROVEMENT FOR
RENTON AVENUE SOUTH BETWEEN RAINIER AVENUE NORTH AND
S.W. VICTORIA STREET.
WHEREAS, the City has public roads which need overlay work;
and
WHEREAS, Renton Avenue South lies within both the county and
the City; and
WHEREAS, the county is preparing to do an overlay, seal coat
and shoulder improvement program in this general vicinity; and
WHEREAS, the .parties can achieve cost savings and benefits in
the public interest by combining construction of their portions of
the project;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Agreement between King County and the
City of Renton regarding the 1998 Overlay Program.
