RESOLUTION NO. 3328
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING A THREE (3) DAY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE
INTERSECTION OF OAKESDALE AVENUE S.W. AND S.W. 16TH
STREET FOR ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the construction of Pier 1 and Pier 2 of the
Oakesdale Avenue bridge is nearing completion; and
WHEREAS, the contractor needs to place 13 girders on the new
Oakesdale Avenue bridge; and
WHEREAS, due to the length of the girders it will be
necessary to use all of Oakesdale Avenue S .W. between Grady Way
and S .W. 16th Street including the intersection to maneuver the
girders to the bridge site; and
WHEREAS, this will require a three (3) day temporary closure
of the intersection of Oakesdale Avenue S .W. and S .W. 16th Street
between June 15 and July 15, 1998; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3 the City
Council is to authorize such closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The City Council does hereby authorize a
three (3) day temporary closure of the intersection of Oakesdale
Avenue S .W. and S .W. 16th Street between June 15 and July 15,

1998, to allow the contractor to maneuver concrete bridge girders
to the Oakesdale Avenue bridge site.
