HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 3329 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 2 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE MONSTER ROAD BRIDGE BETWEEN MONSTER ROAD S.W. AND SR-900 (MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. WAY) FOR ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION. WHEREAS, the new Monster Road bridge superstructure is now complete and ready for construction of both approaches, including temporary railroad crossing relocation work; and WHEREAS, this construction activity will require the temporary closure of the Monster Road bridge between Monster Road S.W. and SR 900 (Martin Luther King Jr. Way) for a period of approximately thirty days in order to allow the contractor to complete the work in a shorter time period; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that this roadway construction will begin the first part of June, 1998; and WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3 the City Council is to authorize such closures by means of a Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION H. The City Council does hereby authorize the temporary closure of the Monster Road bridge between Monster Road S.W. and SR 900 (Martin Luther King Jr. Way) for a period of approximately thirty days beginning the first part of June 1998 to allow the contractor to complete the construction of both bridge approaches and the temporary railroad crossing relocation work in a shorter time period. 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3329 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 8th day of June , 1998.
