RESOLUTION NO. 3342
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING A FIVE (5) DAY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF
OAKESDALE AVENUE S.W. BETWEEN S.W. 16TH STREET AND
GRADY WAY S.W. FOR ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, construction of the Oakesdale Avenue bridge and modular block retaining
walls are now in the completion stage; and
WHEREAS, the next phase of this project is to reconstruct the intersection; and
WHEREAS, the contractor needs to reconstruct the intersection by removing the existing
paving and reconstructing a new roadway section to tie into the new Oakesdale extension to the
south; and
WHEREAS, this will require a five (5) day temporary closure of the intersection of
Oakesdale Avenue S.W. between S.W. 16th Street and Grady Way, S.W. between August 31 and
September 4, 1998; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code section 9-9-3 the City Council is to authorize such
closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize a five (5) day temporary closure of
the intersection of Oakesdale Avenue S.W. between S.W. 16th Street and Grady Way, S.W.
between August 31 and September 4, 1998 to allow the contractor to reconstruct the intersection
