RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 4 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT ENTITLED "TRANSIT SERVICE
AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN KING COUNTY AND THE CITY OF
RENTON" FOR THE RENTON URBAN SHUTTLE.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton desires to continue its transit service known as the
Renton Urban Shuttle (RUSH); and
WHEREAS, King County is in the business of providing such transit service through its
Metro division; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that it would be in the best interests of all
parties for the City of Renton to contract with King County Metro to provide the RUSH service;
and
WHEREAS, the term of this agreement will be from September 21, 1998 to September
15, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton will contribute approximately $187,905.00 over a two
year period to fund this service; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions of the agreement under
which King County Metro will provide the RUSH service to the City of Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington, do resolve as
follows:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal cooperative agreement entitled "Transit Service Agreement By and Between King

County and the City of Renton" for the Renton Urban Shuttle (RUSH). This term of this
agreement will be from September 21, 1998 to September 15, 2000, with the City of Renton
contributing approximately $187,905.00 over a two year period to fund this service.
