RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 4 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, •
AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ABERDEEN
AVENUE N.E. BETWEEN N.E. 27TH STREET AND N.E. 24TH STREET
FOR STORM AND SEWER CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the construction of the N.E. 27th Street/Aberdeen Avenue N.E. Storm
Improvements&East Kennydale Sewer Interceptor Project is under construction; and
WHEREAS, the trench for the two pipes and a sanitary sewer manhole will be
approximately 35 feet deep; and
WHEREAS, shoring requirements for the trench will result in a trench that will be
approximately 50 feet wide at the surface which cannot be safely covered to allow traffic to pass
over; and
WHEREAS, there will be local access to residents on Aberdeen Avenue N.E. to the
south of the construction and a temporary access road east of the construction; and
WHEREAS, this construction activity will require a street closure of Aberdeen Avenue
N.E. between N.E .27th Street and N.E. 24th Street; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code section 9-9-3 the City Council is to authorize such
closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.

SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the closure of Aberdeen Avenue
N.E. between N.E. 27th Street and N.E. 24th Street for a period of approximately 7 calendar days
beginning September 17, 1998 to September 24, 1998.
