RESOLUTION NO. 3243
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
' AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FOR REALIGNMENT OF ANACORTES AVENUE
N.E. AND SUNSET BOULEVARD, N.E.
WHEREAS, : the City of. Renton has identified the intersection of
Anacortes Avenue, N.E. and Sunset Boulevard, N.E. as a high
accident intersection; and
WHEREAS, the City has applied for grant funding to assist in
improving that intersection; and
WHEREAS, the City has been given a grant for $200, 000 . 00 for
preliminary,. engineering and subsequent work on the intersection;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions
of this grant and later grants;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington, are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal
cooperative agreement with the Washington State Department of
Transportation for a $200, 000 . 00 grant for preliminary engineering

and subsequent work, and to enter into any subsequent interlocal
agreements for improvements to the intersection of Anacortes
Avenue, N.E. and Sunset Boulevard, N.E.
