RESOLUTION NO. 3258
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH THE
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT BOARD FOR DESIGN AND
INSTALLATION OF OAKESDALE AVENUE S.W. FROM 16TH STREET
S.W. TO 27TH STREET S.W.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that it wishes to
construct Oakesdale Avenue S .W. from 16th Street S .W. to 27th
Street S .W. ; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Improvement Board has funds
_ available to provide financial assistance to the City of Renton
for the design of Oakesdale Avenue S .W. in the amount of
$842, 236 . 00; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton plans to request further funding
from the Transportation Improvement Board for construction of this
roadway; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions
under which the Transportation Improvement Board will provide
funds to the City of Renton;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are _hereby authorized
to enter into a contract with the Transportation Improvement Board

for provision of funding for the design of Oakesdale Avenue S.W.
from S .W. 16th Street to S .W. 27th Street and further authorized
to enter into other such contracts necessary to obtain funds from
the Transportation Improvement Board for further phases of the
project up to and including construction of the roadway.
