RESOLUTION NO. 3264
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: WITH THE SEATTLE-KING COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR THE LOCAL HAZARDOUS WASTE
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR. 1997 ACTIVITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is a participant in the Local
Hazardous Waste .Management Plan (Plan) for Seattle-King County; and
WHEREAS, the 1997 Plan budget allows for reimbursement to
suburban cities that implement hazardous waste programs for that
city; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has applied for' such reimbursement;
and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been proposed to document such
reimbursement;
NOW, THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Seattle-King.
County Department of Public Health and the City of Renton for
reimbursement of funds for implementing hazardous waste programs in
the City of Renton in accordance with the Local Hazardous Waste
Management Plan for Seattle-King County.
