RESOLUTION NO. 3294
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
'INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT BOARD FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE
' . RENTON TRANSIT SIGNAL PRIORITY SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is planning to undertake certain
transit signal improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Improvement Board has indicated

that it will provide certain financial assistance for the design
proposal and has indicated an interest in providing construction
funding; and
WHEREAS, it necessary to document the terms and conditions
under which the Transportation Improvement [Board will provide
funds to the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a proposed agreement entitled
"Project Agreement for Design Proposal, Renton Transit Signal
Priority System" for design engineering, value engineering, right
of way appraisal, acquisition and environmental assessment;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor or his designee and the City Clerk
are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal cooperative
agreement with the Transportation Improvement Board entitled

Priority System" and any and all other or further agreements
necessary to accomplish this project . I
