RESOLUTION NO. 3295
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING .THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE EXISTING MONSTER
"_ROAD' BRIDGE BETWEEN S.W. 7TH STREET AND SR 900 (MARTIN
LUTHER KING JR. WAY) FOR BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the construction of the new Monster Road bridge
: . substructure is now complete and ready for girder replacement; and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to utilize the existing bridge
for unloading the girders which vary in length from 45' to 95' ; and
. WHEREAS, there will be local access for the businesses on
either side of the bridge via S .W. 7th Street and SR 900; and
:WHEREAS, this, -,construction activity will require a street
clo.sureof the. existing Monster Road Bridge between S .W. 7th Street
and SR 900. (Martin Luther King Jr. Way) for a period of fourteen
calendar days beginning December 16, 1997 to December 30, 1997; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3 the City Council
is to authorize such closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The City Council does hereby authorize the
closure of the existing Monster Road bridge between S .W. 7th Street
and SR 900 (Martin Luther King Jr. Way) for a period of

approximately fourteen calendar days beginning December 16, 1997 to
December 30, 1997 .
