ORDINANCE NO. 3763
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 4-1807 OF TITLE IV (BUILDING
REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON" DEALING WITH CABLE TV CONDUIT AND
UNDERGROUNDING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 4-180? of Title IV (Building
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by adding
the following new subsection:
Section 4-1807 (C): Whenever an electrical communication
facility, including but not limited to electrical power, telephone,
telegraph and cable TV, is required to be placed underground
according to the terms of this Chapter, then that utility shall
bear the cost of such undergrounding, including the conduit, cable,
vaults and a proportionate share of the trenching or other
preparatory work or necessary work of restoration.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and thirty days after its publication.
