RESOLUTION NO. 3170
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE RENTON SCHOOL
DISTRICT FOR JOINT INSTALLATION OF SCHOOL CROSSING
IMPROVEMENTS FOR TALBOT HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has investigated the crosswalk at
Talbot Hill Elementary School located on the north side of Talbot
Road South and S . 23rd Street; and
WHEREAS., the existing crosswalk location would be better
located to the south side of the intersection; and
WHEREAS, the Renton School District has agreed to equally
share in the cost of relocating the crosswalk, each party paying
one half of the $8, 500 . 00 estimated expense of the crosswalk; and
WHEREAS, the parties have drafted an interlocal cooperative
agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an interlocal cooperative agreement with the Renton
School District for installation of school crossing improvements to
serve Talbot Hill Elementary School .
