RESOLUTION NO. 3172
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, RATIFYING
AMENDMENTS TO THE KING COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN LAND USE
MAP AND AMENDING, BY RATIFICATION, COUNTYWIDE PLANNING
POLICIES FOR UNINCORPORATED KING COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton did ratify the Countywide Planning
Policies adopted by King County pursuant to the Growth Management
Act, by City Resolution No. 3094 adopted on November 21, 1994 ; and
WHEREAS, an area for continuing study was agreed upon known as
the Joint Planning Area; and
WHEREAS, agreement has been reached between the City of Renton
and King County concerning the boundary of the Joint Planning Area;
and
WHEREAS, the agreement on the Joint Planning Area was included
within King County Ordinance No. 12081; and
WHEREAS, King County Ordinance No. 12081 also resolved existing
issues concerning Joint Planning Areas for the cities of North Bend,
Issaquah, Redmond, Black Diamond and Snoqualmie in order to
determine the final urban growth boundaries for each city;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :

SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The City of Renton hereby ratifies the
amendments to the King County Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map and
Countywide Planning Policies for unincorporated King County, as
encompassed within King County Ordinance No. 12081 .
