RESOLUTION NO. 3186
A RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER
INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT ENTITLED
EMERGENCY MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY CITIES AND
SEWER AND WATER DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton provides water and sewer services to
its citizens; and
WHEREAS, in a major disaster it may be necessary for the City of
Renton to either accept or render mutual aid with respect to
provision of water and sewer services; and
WHEREAS, such mutual aid
agreements provide assurances to
g
utility customers of the maximum protection in the continuation of
utility services even in the event of a major disaster; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the responsibilities,
liabilities and expenses involved in rendering mutual aid in natural
disasters, by means of this agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and correct
in all respects .

RESOLUTION NO. 3186
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an interlocal agreement entitled "Emergency Mutual Aid
Agreement with King County Cities and Sewer and Water Districts ."
