RESOLUTION NO. 3191
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE SOUTHBOUND LANE
OF SUNSET BOULEVARD N.E. FROM N.E. 7TH STREET TO THE I-
405 ON/OFF RAMP FOR ROADWAY AND TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION.
: WHEREAS, the construction of the Houser Way North roadway
requires the construction of approach walls and tunnel lid along a
portion of Sunset Boulevard N.E . ; and
WHEREAS, this construction activity will require a street
closure for a portion of the southbound lane of Sunset Boulevard
N.E. from N.E . 7th Street to the I-405 on/off ramp for a period of
approximately three weeks; and
WHEREAS, this street work has been scheduled between May and
June of 1996 ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3 the City Council
is to authorize such closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the
closure of the southbound lane of Sunset Boulevard N.E . from N.E.
7th Street to the I-405 on/off ramp for a period of approximately

three weeks during the period between May and June of 1996 or some
equivalent time frame .
